Food Product Labels

Get into a habit of reading product food labels found on packaging. While packages may have bold messages such as "Low Fat" or "Reduced Calorie" written all over them, it is the product food label that is important. When you can read a product food label, and understand what you are reading, you will probably be surprised that the label may tell another story.

The FDA provides the following important food label guidelines. Therefore, it should be what you look for when reading food labels on packaging. If the brand message and label do not jive, move on to a different product.
